SHIPPING
The Loyal Fam is all about fast, inexpensive shipping in a time of need. Here’s a quick breakdown of your options:
International: Loyalbody.com - International USPS 1st Class Shipping (7-21 Business Days) -
Starts at $39.95 depending on the global location. USPS ships to over 190 countries, this includes Canada.
We know. Waiting for relief sucks, which is why we try to keep things between 2-5 business days for delivery (after the usual 24 hour processing period), depending on where you live. Most people receive their package within just a few days. *Sadly,* we don't ship on weekends -- so try to put your order in sooner rather than later!
Orders placed before 3 pm EST Monday-Friday will ship the same day, though. During extra crazy times of the year, such as holidays, add an extra business day for processing.
Loyal ships our products through USPS. Because who doesn’t like getting packages on Saturdays?
Yes. But it can be a little pricey. We recommend subscribing to our email updates so that our international shoppers can stay updated on any sales and promotions that make things a little easier on your bank account.
International: Loyalbody.com - International USPS 1st Class Shipping (7-21 Business Days) -
Starts at $39.95 depending on the global location. USPS ships to over 190 countries, this includes Canada.
Quick Tip: if you live outside of the US and Canada, you can also use a US shipping forwarder company, such as Shipito or MyUS. These companies actually give you a physical US shipping address, and will typically facilitate transporting Loyal products to your country for less than what USPS international shipping runs for. Of course, additional shipping, customs and duty fees will apply.
NOTE: AS WE SPEAK, the Loyal Fam is working on a new and lovely relationship with Shipito, so that we can offer our international customers a better rate.
Yes, sis, we ship orders to PO boxes.
Of course we do! So hit that “checkout” button and get yourself one day closer to a happier, healthier vagina.
First thing’s first: Check your inbox, fam. Once you place an order with Loyal, you will automatically receive an email with an order summary and tracking number. If you’re still having trouble locating your order, then get your order ID# ready and send us an email at CustomerCare@loyalbody.com, give us a ring here at [insert customer service number], or message the trusty Loyal chat box, and we will track down that **ish together. Watch your notifications for an email or a call back with an information update. Just let us know how best to contact you with the goods.
Still haven’t received your package? In all the shipping madness, some packages get mis-delivered to a neighbor, left in a mailroom/package room, or picked up by someone else in your home. We recommend double checking all of these possible situations -- because really, nobody needs to be hoarding someone else’s vagina products. If you still are not able to locate your package, just call or email us back.
Worst case scenario, your order doesn't turn up, and Loyal gets to work on a replacement order for you. To avoid any future shipping problems, we’ll ask to send it to a different location. Second time’s the charm, right?
HEALTH
In sciency-terms, BV (bacterial vaginosis) is the result of an overgrowth of one of the many types of bacteria that normally lives in your vagina. Usually, the “good” bacteria, (called lactobacilli), outnumber the “bad” bacteria (called anaerobes), but when that balance is knocked out of whack, we get BV 😔.
BV (Bacterial Vaginosis) occurs when the healthy bacteria in your vagina goes out of balance and grows too much. One of the most common reasons for an overgrowth of anaerobic bacteria is douching. In most cases, douching is not recommended because it disrupts the vaginal environment and can lead to BV, as well as other types of vaginitis, including a vaginal yeast infection.
Sort of… sometimes getting down can change our vaginal pH levels, which can lead to an infection down the line. More importantly, BV can spread between sexual partners! If you think you have BV, either give yourself a booty call break, or use a condom until the infection is gone.
Still have questions? Don’t be afraid to give your doctor a call for more BV and sexual health facts.
No worries -- if BV is an issue for you, there are a few things you can do to keep your vagina happy and healthy:
Never go from a** to vag in the bedroom, or anywhere else for that matter. This can transfer fecal material to the vagina (ick), causing BV. If you’re really that down to get dirty, change condoms before switching from anal to vaginal intercourse. Also, never place any toys (or appendages!) in the vagina that has been in the anus without washing with soap and warm water.
Get comfy with regular condom usage. When semen mixes with vaginal fluids, it can make the smell of an existing BV infection worse.
Always. Pee. After. Sex. You can also rinse the vagina and vulva (the outer part of your bits, including labia) with clean water to remove any lube or sexual fluids still hanging around. For some people, sexual fluids and lubricants change the delicate pH balance of the vagina, making them more vulnerable to a BV infection.
Make the NutraBlast Feminine Balance Complex a part of your lifestyle. Reason being, there is a connection between the lack of a healthy vagina microbiome and developing BV. As a matter of fact, keeping your entire body’s microbiome healthy and vibrant is key for vaginal and whole body health.
It’s when your vagina feels like it’s on fire -- literally (not literally). Vaginitis is known as inflammation of the vagina that can result in discharge, itching and pain. This can happen for a couple reasons. Sometimes, Vaginitis can result from a vaginal microbiome imbalance, or a full blown vaginal infection. Reduced estrogen levels after menopause and some skin disorders can also also cause vaginitis.
Actual hell, tbh. A vaginal yeast infection, also called vulvovaginal candidiasis, happens when the healthy yeast that normally lives in your vagina grows out of control, and turns into an itchy, goopy, chunky nightmare. Vaginal yeast infections are very common and will affect up to 75% of folks with vaginas at some point in their lifetime. Even penis-havers can get them too -- especially from sex with a partner who also has a yeast infection. It’s also possible to contract a yeast infection anywhere in your body, including the vagina, mouth (known as thrush), skin and blood. Fun, right?
In general, vaginal yeast infections can be very irritating and uncomfortable with an intense itching, burning sensation and lots of angry inflammation.
Welp, all sorts of things can cause a vaginal yeast infection, from chillin in a wet swimsuit for too long, to taking antibiotics. Simple pH imbalances can cause yeast infections too. When things get a little too acidic, yeast blows up like a mother******. This is why it’s important to check your vaginal ph-levels regularly.
Here’s a helpful, more comprehensive list of yeast infection causes for your reading pleasure:
Changes in you pH levelsSome medications: antibiotics (which can kill healthy bacteria in the vagina, allowing yeast to grow out of control), corticosteroid drugs — including cortisone, hydrocortisone and prednisone — used to treat many conditions, such as rashes, lupus and asthma.
Menstruation: changes in hormone levels during a menstrual cycle can result in occasional or reoccuring yeast infections
Pregnancy (cute, huh?)
An increase in estrogen levels: for example, when taking birth control pills that contain high doses of estrogen or when on hormone therapy
Diabetes and controlled and uncontrolled blood sugar levels: High blood sugar levels create a lovely physical environment for yeast to take over the world. This is why people with diabetes and blood sugar issues are more prone to yeast infections, according to the Mayo Clinic.
Cancer Treatments: undergoing chemotherapy creates a higher risk for developing a yeast infection due to changes in immunity
An impaired or weak immune system: such as, when spending a long period of time in a medical facility (aka exposure to higher levels of bacteria and viruses)
Wet clothing (bathing suits): yeast thrives in warm, wet environments, like moist swimsuits (ugh)
Pro Tips: Old school treatments like douching have been linked to causing an imbalance of the healthy bacteria in your vagina which makes you more susceptible to an infection.Candida feeds on carbs (and sugars): According to a 2013 study published in the PLOS One journal, refined carbs play a significant role in the development of candida. If you are eating lots of pizza and pasta, then you’re at a higher risk of developing a yeast infection than those who eat carbs, proteins, and fats in moderation.
A lot of gross **ish, such as:
Itching and irritation in the vagina and vulva (outer labia)
A pain, or burning sensation, especially during intercourse or while urinating
Redness and swelling of the vulva
Vaginal pain and soreness
Vaginal rash
Thick, white, vaginal discharge with a cottage cheese appearance, that usually doesn’t smell or only has a slightly different smell
Watery vaginal dischargeIn extreme cases, sores may appear on the vagina and/or vulva (yay 🙃)
NOTE: Before starting any new self-care, please consult with your OBGYN or physician.
BV happens when unhealthy bacteria find their way into places they don’t belong. A yeast infection is when the naturally occuring yeast in your vagina starts multiplying out of control. Usually, a BV infection comes with a strong “fishy” vaginal odor, while most people don’t notice an odor with a yeast infection. What they do notice is a torrential outpouring of chunky, odorless discharge. Both might ruin your day (or date), but they can require different treatments. To be absolutely sure which type of infection has crashed your party, see your doctor to get an accurate diagnosis.
According to the pros at the CDC (Center for Disease Control), using a 600 mg boric acid vaginal capsule suppositories once a day for 1-2 weeks can eradicate a yeast infection. If you’re unsure if boric acid is the right choice for you, consult with your OBGYN or physician.
Yeast infections are hell -- we know. To lower your chances of getting another one:
Talk with your doctor about any drugs you are now taking. You are more likely to get a vaginal yeast infection if you are taking certain drugs, including antibiotics, steroids, or birth control pills.
Try to keep the genital area cool and dry. Yeast grows well in warm, moist areas.
Wear cotton underwear and loose-fitting clothes.
Change out of damp clothes or a wet bathing suit as soon as possible.
If you use panty liners or pads when you are not having a menstrual period, change the panty liners or pads more often.
Yes, doctors now recommend 600 mg of boric acid as an evidence-based treatment for yeast infections. It can not only knock out the infection, boric acid also relieves the pain and itchiness that comes with it.
Boric acid is even effective for infections that can't be cured by prescription antifungals.
NOTE: If you are pregnant, do not use vaginal boric acid treatment. Do not take vaginal suppository by mouth. Before starting any new self-care, please consult with your OBGYN or physician.
Call your doctor if your symptoms do not improve, or if they get worse.

The symptoms of BV and a yeast infection both usually include vaginal discharge, itchiness, and discomfort. The difference is in the presence of odor.
A yeast infection causes discharge that is thick and white, with a cottage-cheese type appearance. BV is associated with a strong “fishy” vaginal odor, while most people don't notice an odor with a yeast infection. We recommend consulting with your OBGYN or medical professional for answers to any medical questions you may have.
Douching, using vaginal deodorants, or scented tampons
Hormonal changes including menstruation, pregnancy, and menopause
Having sex with a new partner
Body washes or soaps used on the vaginal area.
Well, your baby can. A yeast infection is called thrush when it occurs in the mouth and a yeast infection when it occurs in the breast and on the outer layer of the skin. Breastfeeding sometimes causes yeast infections in the breast, which can be passed back and forth between the breastfeeder and the baby.
That’s tough -- we feel you there. Thankfully, you can safely treat a yeast infection during pregnancy with various over-the-counter antifungal vaginal creams or suppositories. However, it's always best to consult with your OBGYN or healthcare provider before starting any self-care treatment.
Do not take boric acid vaginal suppositories while pregnant or breastfeeding.
Over-the-counter medications for treating yeast infections — available as creams, ointments or suppositories — include:
Clotrimazole (Mycelex, Lotrimin AF)
Miconazole (Monistat 3)
Terconazole
A healthy vaginal pH level is typically between 3.8 and 4.5 -- which means that your vagina is happiest when it’s a little acidic.
Ooo. Sorry, sis. Baths are not recommended. As a rule, showers are better than baths when you’re in the process of treating a vaginal infection.
If you must go for a soak, avoid using scented soaps or bubble bath products because they may irritate or prolong yeast infections. Don’t hang out in the tub for more than 10 minutes at a time. Also, avoid from fooling around with a partner in a bath or hot tub when either one of you has a yeast infection. The conditions of sex in a water environment might make it easier for a yeast infection to spread through sex. Also make sure to pat the area of the infection completely dry once you’re out of the water.
To maintain a healthy vagina, wash your vulva (outer area of the vagina) once a day with warm water, or mild soap. Keeping your vulva cool, clean, and dry can go a long way to prevent infections.
Some vaginas are just mysterious af. If you aren’t sure what’s causing your symptoms, please see your doctor. To make a diagnosis, your doctor likely will perform a pelvic exam and take a sample of your vaginal discharge to be examined under a microscope. Your doctor will probably ask you the following questions to find out what could be the culprit.
What vaginal symptoms do you have?
How long have you had them?
Do you notice a strong vaginal odor?
Have you ever been treated for a vaginal infection?
Have you tried over-the-counter products to treat your condition?
Have you recently taken antibiotics?
Are you sexually active?
Are you pregnant?
Do you use scented soap or bubble bath?
A bad time. More specifically, thrush is a yeast infection of the mouth and throat, also known as oral candidiasis. Thrush may be triggered by a variety of factors, including illness, pregnancy, medications, smoking, or dentures.
Yes, unfortunately. A yeast infection of the skin (such as the armpits and groin) is called cutaneous candidiasis.
Yes, men can get yeast infections. Yeast infections in men are common because the fungus that causes yeast infections (candida) is normally present on skin, especially moist skin. Having P-in-the-V sex with someone who already has a vaginal yeast infection can cause that infection to spread to the penis-having partner. Yeast infections are more common with uncircumcised penises.
Sometimes yeast infection can cause balanitis — aka, inflammation of the head of the penis. Balanitis is also more common in uncircumcised penises.
They’re similar to yeast infections in vaginas, just ya know, more external. More specifically they include:
Burning and itching around the head of the penis, which worsens after having sex.
Redness and swelling.
Small, rash-like bumps called papules, which may have pus.
Pain during urination or sex.
There are several risk factors that increase the likelihood of getting a penile yeast infection:
Antibiotics, which kill the "good" bacteria that keep candida's numbers in checkImmune-suppressing illnesses, particularly HIV
Diabetes
Corticosteroids
Having P-in-the-V sex with someone with a vaginal yeast infection
Signs and symptoms of male balanitis may include:
A thick, lumpy discharge under the foreskinAn unpleasant odor of the foreskin
Difficulty pulling back your foreskin
You may be more likely to develop balanitis from a yeast infection if you:
Aren't circumcised
Use antibiotics for prolonged periodsHave diabetes
Have an impaired immune system, such as with HIV
Are overweight
Have poor hygiene
Have P-in-the-V sex with someone with a vaginal yeast infection
Most penile yeast infections are easily treated with over-the-counter antifungal medications. *praise*
There are a number of over-the-counter and prescription-based topical medicines available, including:
Spectazole (econazole)
In some cases, these drugs may be combined with hydrocortisone to reduce significant inflammation.
Alternatively, an oral azole medication called Diflucan (fluconazole) can be used to knock out a penile yeast infection -- especially if it becomes systemic.
As with any new self-care product, please consult with your doctor or medical professional before use.
Importantly, topical, oil-based medication cannot be used with latex condoms. (Hint: oil causes latex condoms to break down and increases the likelihood of STI transmission and pregnancy.)
If you and your partner both have symptoms of a yeast infection, it's important that you both be treated to avoid reinfecting each other.
Great question! Vaginal pH is a measure of how acidic or alkaline the vagina is. A healthy vaginal pH is usually between 3.8 and 4.5. This is important to know because an overly acidic or alkaline vaginal pH can lead to infections, odor, excessive discharge, vaginal dryness, itchiness, vulva soreness and general discomfort.
Here are some things that can cause your vaginal pH to go awry:
Antibiotics: Antibiotics kill off both the good and bad bacteria in the vagina. The problem is, the vagina needs good bacteria to fight off the infection causing bad bacteria. Without good bacteria, you’re far more likely to breed infections like yeast.
Sex: The alkaline pH value of semen is HIGH (usually around 7.1-8). Semen sometimes disturbs the vagina’s naturally acidic environment, which can lead to BV.
Menstruation: Blood has a pH of 7.4, so during your period, vaginal pH can become elevated and cause discomfort and infection.
Menopause: A decrease in estrogen levels reduces the number of healthy bacteria in the vagina, which can also increase the vagina’s pH levels, causing recurring infections.
Yes! Boric acid is not only safe, peer-reviewed research has shown it to be incredibly effective. It’s also often a more economical way to treat yeast infections and BV (bacterial vaginosis). As a matter of fact, boric acid has been used to treat vaginal infections for over 100 years. Boric acid is also an alternative to more conventional treatments that may fail to target the non-albicans or azole-resistant strains of yeast without contributing to the global problem of antifungal resistance.
By re-establishing your natural vaginal pH levels, boric acid prevents Candida fungi from growing. It also acts as a strong antiviral and antifungal agent in the body.
The CDC (Center for Disease Control) recommends using 600 mg boric acid vaginal capsule suppositories once a day for 1-2 weeks to treat yeast infections.
NOTE: People with any of the following should not use boric acid vaginal capsule suppositories:
If you are pregnant or breastfeeding
Vaginal sores
Vaginal bleeding
A fever
Nausea
Pelvic inflammatory disease
Any sexually transmitted disease
Heart disease
A blood vessel disorder
We get -- not everyone has the time or the money to schedule an appointment with a doctor. BUT, it’s usually a good idea to get evaluated by a medical professional, especially for recurring vaginal conditions. For a truly accurate diagnosis, your healthcare provider can look at your vaginal fluid under a microscope or send a sample to a lab for analysis.
First thing’s first: all vaginas have a natural musk, and it’s not necessarily unhealthy. Atypical, or more prominent vaginal odor is usually the result of a vaginal pH imbalance. When vaginal pH is in a normal range (3.5 to 4.5), odor-causing bacteria can’t hang. However, if you feel any vaginal discomfort or start to smell fishy, it’s possible that your pH has either dipped or escalated into an unhealthy range.
Maintaining a healthy pH between 3.5 and 4.5 allows beneficial flora (lactobacillus), aka your natural microbiome, to thrive and keep your vagina happy. You can encourage your microbiome to live its best life by trying our On the Daily whole body balancing complex. Using pH test strips to regularly test your vaginal pH level can also help you stay one step ahead of an infection.

Self diagnose the state of your vaginal discharge and other symptoms:
There is confusion when it comes to figuring out what may be causing a change in your vagina. Many symptoms associated with yeast infections: burning, itching, pain during sex, discharge can signal other health issues like bacterial vaginosis (BV), an urinary tract infection (UTI) or worse, an STD. Bottom line: It can be difficult to figure out.
If you believe you have a health concern it is best to consult with a physician or medical professional.

Although boric acid suppositories are generally safe for adults to use, minor side effects are possible -- especially if you have more going on than a simple vaginal infection or pH imbalance. Some folks may experience:
Burning at the insertion site: This is typical if the vaginal suppository capsule is not inserted properly or if vaginal sores are present. Please see directions for proper use.
Watery discharge: Wear a panty liner.Panty liners were specifically designed for vaginal discharge. However, you should avoid wearing them for a long time. You should change your panty liner frequently, otherwise it may cause rashes or itching in the vaginal area.
Oh no, honey. Vaginal boric acid suppositories will not prevent pregnancy and should not be used as a form of birth control.
Nah, boric acid suppositories won’t get you pregnant, but it is still recommended to avoid sexy time while you are treating a vaginal infection because that’s likely to worsen the infection -- or -- spread the infection to your partner.

Can you go through the White Castle drive through in the middle of a hurricane? Possibly. But should you? No. Having sex while using Boric Life to treat an infection is kinda like that. Once treatment is complete, you should wait 24 hours after inserting Boric Life to have sex. Pro Tip: condoms are one of the best ways to reduce the recurrence of BV.
It’s normal -- but it probably means that you’re doing it wrong. More specifically, you may not have inserted the pill high enough into your vagina. The discharge is just the excess boric acid coming out with your normal discharge (the vagina is a self-cleaning machine!). *womp*
Most folks wear a pad when using Boric Life to contain the excess discharge.
Sadly, no. Boric LIFE is not approved if you are pregnant or breast-feeding. As a friendly reminder, it's ALWAYS important to speak with a physician or health care professional before taking any new OTC medication or supplement if you are pregnant or breast-feeding.

Do not use this medicine if you have open sores, wounds, or ulcerations in your vaginal area.

YES. It is HIGHLY recommended to use an applicator with Boric Life and/or Boric LIFE+, but you don’t necessarily have to. Some folks prefer using their finger to insert vaginal capsules, but that route can come with mess, extra bacteria, and some uncomfortable public restroom experiences.

Everyone responds differently to Boric Life boric acid vaginal suppository capsules.
The CDC (Center for Disease Control) recommends using 600 mg boric acid vaginal capsule suppositories once a day for 1-2 weeks.
If our yeast infection persists after taking Boric Life for 2-week consult your OBGYN physician.
Sure! Boric Life and Boric LIFE+ can be used during your period. A matter a fact, many women use Boric life a few days before their period to prevent infections like BV, yeast, excessive vaginal odor and discomfort. Women also like to use Boric Life after their period to balance out their pH levels.
